Welcome to Ski Run Marina
Ski Run Marina has been part of South Lake Tahoe’s story since 1939. Originally built during Tahoe’s early boating era, the marina quickly became a gathering place where locals and visitors could experience life on the lake, launch adventures on the water, and enjoy the relaxed rhythm of Tahoe.
Under the stewardship of owner Elie, Ski Run Marina has evolved with a clear vision: to create a waterfront destination that is both welcoming to visitors and meaningful to the local community. With nearly 400 feet of frontage along Lake Tahoe, the marina also carries a responsibility as a steward of the shoreline. A major harbor renovation completed in 2008–2009 significantly improved water quality within the marina basin, reinforcing a long-term commitment to preserving the lake environment.
Following the harbor improvements, attention turned to revitalizing the village and retail areas surrounding the marina. Today, Ski Run Marina is home to a thoughtfully curated collection of locally owned businesses, each selected to contribute to a vibrant and complementary mix of dining, shops, and marina services.
Today, Ski Run Marina continues to serve as a hub of activity in South Lake Tahoe—a place where lake adventures begin, where the community gathers, and where visitors are encouraged to slow down and experience Tahoe at its own pace.
With the support of the South Lake Tahoe community, Ski Run Marina remains a cherished waterfront destination and a lasting part of the lake’s living history.
