Tahoe Cruises has run sightseeing trips out of Ski Run Marina since 1979 and operates two yachts from the dock. The Safari Rose is a classic 80-foot motor yacht built in 1959, restored with a teak-paneled salon, a full bar, a fireplace, and sun decks, and it remains the only yacht on the lake with onboard staterooms; premium wine-tasting cruises, private charters, and weddings.
The Spirit of Tahoe is the larger vessel, carrying up to 133 passengers with two bars and an upper deck, and handles most of the daily public cruises, including year-round runs.
Trips range from roughly two-hour Emerald Bar sightseeing cruises - passing Vikingsholm, Eagle Falls, and the Tea House on Fannette Island, with historic narration from a Coast Guiard-licensed captain - to sunset and cocktail cruises and routes along the East Shore toward Cave Rock and Glenbrook.
