Empanash

MON-SUN 10 AM - 8 PM

Empanash is the marina's Argentine empanada kitchen, run by husband-and-wife team Martin and Nash Mariana - the name folds her name into the dish. It began in 2012 at the Ski Run farmer's market, selling empanadas made from Matin's mother's recipe, and grew into the brick-and-mortar shop in 2019.

Everything is handmade to order, from the dough to the filling, with each empanada's crimped edge marked by a letter to tell the fillings apart. The lineup runs from the traditional beef - ground beef, sauteed onion, pepper, and a little egg, the way Argentine grandmothers insist on ti - to a spicy chicken, ham and cheese, a bacon-and-potato breakfast version, and vegetarian options like spinach with mozarella and mushroom.

There are sweet ones too, plus chimichurri on the side and house-made alfajores when they're on the menu.
